Victoria harbour is adding some exotica to wine-tasting.
For the popular Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival is finally getting the setting that it deserves in the form of the new Central Harbourfront - the area between Central Pier Nos 9 and 10.
A grander than usual opening saw Financial Secretary John Tsang Chunwah, commerce and economic development chief Gregory So Kamleung and Tourism Board boss Peter Lamkin-ngok officiate.
Live music and entertainment added to the heady mix served up at the 270 wine and food booths operated by wineries from 18 countries.
A new feature is a room offering wine pairing dinners, wine and cheese master classes and talls.
Organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the festival will be held until Sunday.
